In this 'new normal', global leadership training and consulting needs to go beyond corporate retreats and strategy set from 'on high' to encompass diverse teams across the world, with a focus on the competencies needed for the 21st century, a strong focus on environmental and social responsibility, and the capacity to shift mindsets and create behaviour change at all levels of a company.  A more human approach that enables you to take all levels of an organisation with you on your transformative journey and avoids the need to bring in expensive consultants to sort out a future mess.

 'Higher order leadership' is the ability to navigate the complexity of our time with empathy, dignity and humility, putting the needs of others before oneself in a 'servant leadership' model that empowers others

Vertical thinking

 Traditional leadership training and consulting happens in silos, with senior executives setting strategy in glamorous corporate retreats, far away  - and separate from - their global teams.  In order to effectively lead companies that are truly 'glocal' - able to embody global thinking whilst understanding local needs - there needs to be a mindset shift in how training needs to happen and how we inspire leadership that empowers others.  What happens in the boardroom needs to reflect what happens on the factory floor - and vice versa.

This requires leadership in a truly 'global' sense: not just managing across countries and cultures, but having a '360 degree' approach to managing vertically and horizontally ("cross-functionally") and truly empowering from top to bottom.  It's about engaging ALL stakeholders in the process.
